20th Annual Pike Reunion Weekend01/25/2002 This year's event featured 44 attendees ranging from Pike classes 1975-1983, including the 4 original founders of this event; Wink Williams, Alfraedo Jordan, Brian Murphy and Gary Cunningham. Attendees came from all across the country; South Dakota, Kentucky,Texas, Florida, Arizona,and California with 1st timers Dan Jordan and Dale Worthington. Friday night was the first get together at The Monte Carlo Brew Pub with shades of the back halls on Drachman ever present with the likes of Mike McWenie and Dave Crutcher deep in political argument as in the old days. Saturday morning's golf prize of the 20th Scramble Pike Championship was won by the foresome of Wink Williams, Mike Cronin, Alfraedo Jordan and Brad Pennington. All total there were 9 four-somes on a beautiful sunny day. The Saturday Banquet was held at Z'Tejas Resturant and was a great event. Golf awards were presented along with a film of past years and U of A Sports Highlights done by Las Vegas host Louis Tavano. Next was a Wink Williams creation---The FoolieWed Game Show--featuring 4 sets of brothers(Alfradeo+Dan Jordan, Jim+John Roslund, Steve+Stan Spackeen and Matt+Scott Harelson). All banquet attendees received a commemorative 20th Reunion Weekend Mug with the Shield & Diamond emblazoned on it along with their known Pike nickname. John Keahon was the creator of a 20th Reunion Golf Shirt for all. The main event was Les Canterbury walking away with The Pike Achievement Award for his hard work and dedication in keeping the brothers together and most important as a role model to us all by the examplary life he leads. The final day was spent watching the 2 NFL Championship football games with Beer, Pizza and friendship! Next year's 21st will marked in everyone's calendar ASAP.
