Pika 2002 Convention08/03/2002  The entire Executive Committee, SMC Scott Coffey, IMC's Drew Baxter & Sean Koffel, ThC Mike Lavance and SC Matt Baumann along with undergrad Spencer Waldman attended the 2002 International PIKA Convention in Palm Desert, CA held at the Marriott Desert Springs Hotel August 3-7th. Gamma Delta Chapter Advisor Ron Gerhart '64 attended all the legislative sessions with these 6 undergrads. Gamma Delta recent graduate Danny Berger '99 was honored as a Finalist for The Robertson Outstanding Undergraduate Award. Bram Govaars '66 outgoing President of The Pi Kappa Alpha Educational Foundation spoke at The Educational Foundation luncheon honoring The Order of West Range recipients and Robertson Award winner. Al Butkus '65 played in the golf tournament along with Danny Berger and Loyd Wilbur '66 Chapter Advisor at Vermont was on hand as Vermont received a Chapter Excellence Award. The strong participation by the Executive Committee in the many Convention business sessions and leadership training meetings will pay dividends as they lead Gamma Delta back into contention for future International Awards. |
