Gamma Delta Participates in International Work Day04/19/2002 On Saturday March 30th, 2002 the Arizona Chapter help their local Work Day. Over 130 Pi Kappa Alpha chapters schedule this event to bring focus with hard work and community effort with projects to improve either the chapter house or another worthy project in the community. This year Gamma Delta with over 50+ members involvement took on 2 important areas at 1525 East Drachman. First on the list was relandscaping the front yard including the lawn area and brick flower boxes with plants and flowers. The second and major task was reflooring the main living room and adding PKA letters to the finished product. An estimated $3500 of work was accomplished by these 2 improvements. Competitive bids and plans have been arranged for a summer retiling of the kitchen with either ceramic or quarry tile as part of the remodeling of Ruth's Diner in Memory of Ruth James beloved Mom and Cook for so many years. Alumni wishing to donate towards this project in Ruth's honor may do so to: Gamma Delta Housing Corporation PO Box 42737 Tucson, AZ 85733.
